Wildlife of the Homeland Elephants

Each year I am eager to offer a new cover in my Wildlife of the Homeland series. This very popular annual cachet gives me the opportunity to offer African animals that mot likely will not appear with any regularity on U.S. stamps.

This year I show a pair of elephants and the hand painting makes this a dramatic cachet, indeed. A blazing orange evening sky is what sets the mood for the scene. The natural gray of the elephants and the green shades of grass presented against the colorful sky make this a wonderful First Day Cover. You'll be happy with this one, and elephants are always very collectible. Kwanzaa Collins #I4201 — 13.25.
