Purple Heart

U. S. MilitaryDecoration for Those Wounded or Killed in Action

Collins Cover Announcement

Purple Heart - 39c

This World War II era hand painted cachet springs to life with beachhead action. Three American soldiers take the fight to the enemy, and one of them is wounded, for which he'll earn his Purple Heart medal. The bold recruitment style artwork of the war years, combined with the realism that watercolors provide, make this cover one that you don't want to miss. My recently offered National Parks covers (mountain lion, golden eagle, and red wolf) are already sold out, and I think this one is going to go fast. Military collectors will be searching for it in the years to come as well as future Collins collectors.

I'm pleased to offer my action-packed cachet for the latest Purple Heart stamp. It's a winner. Collins #M41-01 —$13.25.
