Children’s Book Animals

Olivia by Ian Falconer

Collins Cover Announcement

Favorite Children's Book Animals

Olivia

This hand painted cachet is one of the cutest I've offered in recent memory. Mother Pig contentedly munches on fresh clover while her three piglets look on from a bushel basket. They are not squealing yet, but one senses that at any second they are going to let Mom know in no uncertain terms that they

want to join her in the clover feast.

The wonderful pictorial First Day postmark with the open storybook ties the delightful Olivia stamp to the envelope. This First Day Cover wonderfully captures the essence of what I hoped to achieve for the set with real animal cachets complementing and enhancing the children's book animals of the stamps. The overall visual chemistry of this one is perfect. Now ready is "Olivia" — Collins #N4007 —$13.25.
