Year of the Rat

This watercolored cover is one that turned out beyond my expectations. A woodland rat perches precariously on a small hollow limb in the alert position. Before continuing on his way, the wary rat wants to make sure that no danger lurks in the area. A clump of colorful flowers contrasts nicely with the natural shades of the wooden limb and the inquisitive rodent. Completing the cover is the large, hand painted character that depicts the word "rat" and the colorful new stamp with day of issue bullseye cancel. I'm pleased to present the Year of the Rat for your collection — Collins #R4001 - $13.25
