The Honeymooners

Audrey Meadows and Jackie Gleason

"Alice and Ralph Kramden"

Green - 63c

Jackie Gleason portrayed the husband, Ralph, and Audrey Meadows his wife Alice_ He was a bus driver and with his sewer worker pal Ed Norton (played by Art Carney) was constantly getting in hot water with wives Alice and Trixie. One of Ralph's signature lines was, "Alice, I'm going to send you to the moon," but each episode would end with a loving kiss and the words, "Baby, you're the greatest."

I'm pleased to now offer the current two Love stamps with their Romantic Couples hand watercolored cachets taking us bick to those nostalgic days of early television. The 390 lavender Dove stamp with "I Love Lucy" cachet is Collins #V4001 at $13.25. The 630 green Dove stamp with "The Honeymooners" cachet is Collins #W4001 at $13.50.
