This is the final stamp in the mini-set of four, and the vintage boat shown is the oldest of those depicted. It was 30 feet long and was used to ferry people who were touring or commuting. It was powered by a 110 horsepower Chrysler engine and could reach a top speed of about 30 miles per hour. It was built by the Hutchinson Brothers Boat Company in Alexandria Bay, New York.

My hand painted cachet features the launch as it cruises past an island mansion complete with a "pull in" boat house visible to the left. I am very pleased with the way these mahogany speedboat cachets turned out, and I believe that they will become very actively sought Collins First Day Covers in future years.
