The bold colors of the new stamps, combined with their extremely large and varied sizes, are the factors that will help to make these individually hand painted Collins First Day Covers treasures of our hobby. My watercolored cachets will coordinate with the exciting colors of the stamps on each cover. Due to the subject matter, I decided to produce only five covers for this set of ten stamps, and each one will have two expressionist artists in the cachet with their respective stamps on the envelope. It will be a wonderful group of First Day Covers.

The first two artists are Jackson Pollock and William de Kooning. A recurring theme in my cachets will be a silhouette of the New York skyline as each of the ten artists had a connection to that city.

This will be a truly unique mini-set of covers with a distinct and different "look." Two artists in the hand painted cachet are linked together by the New York skyline, and two wonderfully bold, colorful, and large stamps are tied together by the First Day of Issue postmark.
