This is the second cover that is ready in the Rudolph mini-set of four. In addition to Santa, this individually hand painted cachet depicts Mrs. Claus and Sam the Snowman. In the TV movie, the narration was by Burl Ives who used the Sam-character to tell the story.

The Santa stamp in the set is postmarked with the bullseye first day of issue postmark. The cachet design is a truly whimsical look at this iconic Christmas special that has delighted viewers of all ages for fifty years.
