This lovely hand painted cachet is the first of the 2014 Collins Covers. It is artistically very interesting because the flying motion of the mane evokes a sense of movement, but the portrait style of the head and the tranquility of the petite flowering blossoms suggest a feeling of still life art. In yet another -Visual contia-,§f,- at first-g,l ance it is-bo-ld,-but upon further consideration, it is-serene-. Add the beautiful watercolors and the result is a Collins truly worthy of starting the New Year.

This particular series of New Year animals began in 2008, so if you are a relatively new Collins collector or if you missed any of the previous ones, now is the time to obtain them.
