For three decades l've been creating a Christmas hand painted First Day Cover that depicts American wildlife. This series is unique to Collins covers and many collectors eagerly await this once-a-year happening. This year's edition features the striped skunk which is foraging for acorns. My Christmas Wildlife covers first made an appearance in 1988 when I decided to create a special holiday cover portraying wildlife on first day covers. It was such a well-received cover that I made it an annual happening whenever possible. The Christmas Wildlife for 2015 featured the Striped Skunk foraging for acorns, and the cover is titled "Seasonal Aromas." The background features a snow-covered lake and a white-crested mountain. This is the first time this seasonal cover has appeared in one of my mail sales.
