Nyota Uhura is a character in the "Star Trek" TV series and movies. She is a translator and communications officer who specializes in linguistics and cryptography. Lt.Uhura was an important part of the original 1966 series' multicultural crew.

My individually hand painted cachet shows the officer at her flight console on the USS Enterprise. This was one of the first important roles for an African-American character to be featured on an American television series.
