Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is a mental condition that can develop after a person is exposed to a violent event. In recent years, many military personnel have been injured by improvised explosive devices (IEDs). These are often deployed as roadside bombs againsr American and allied troops. In Afghanistan these remotely detonated bombs have, since 2001, accounted for 66 percent of coalition casualties.

My hand painted cachet shows a military vehicle being impacted by one of these deadly IEDs. The new stamp is a continuing way to raise funds for research to treat and heal victims who suffer from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
