American Green Tree Frog

This is the fourth and final frog in the mini-set. As research is begun on each new stamp or set of stamps, it is impossible for me to know how the final cachets will turn out. My expectations are always high, and I would like to offer my opinion that these covers as individuals and as a group exceeded that goal. The hand painting has produced realistic and natural renditions that portray the frogs and their habitats in truly lifelike settings. Please enjoy them.

The American green tree frog is only about two and a half inches long and is usually line green in color. Their underside is a pale yellow. They prefer habitats with plentiful floating vegetation such as the flowering waterlilies in my individually hand painted cachets. They are found in ponds, lakes, marshes, and streams. Their diet consists of flies, mosquitos, and other small insects.
