Fats Domino “Blueberry Hill”

Cover Announcement

The state of Maine is knoun for its low bush blueberries. and this new stamp has its first day postmark from Blue Hill in that state. It was a quick cachetmaking calcuiation to build the artwork around the classic and timeless song "Blueberry Hill." My favorite rendition was by the artist Frats Domino at the piano.

Top center I placed a large record with the label of this classic song. To the left are two large dominos as a visual tribute to Fats. To the upper right is the new stamp cancel with a U.S. flag stamp added for postage requirement.

The "entire" cover is hand painted in a soft pastel and I think it really captures the theme and setting. Bluebenl'Hill is now ready. Collins #A6101 at $18.50.
