Mountain Flora

Pasqueflower

Cover Announcement

This beautiful mountain flower is a lovely shade of purple, and grows to a height of 6 to 12 inches, and is also known by the common names of Wind Flower, Meadow Anemone, and Easter Flower. My hand painted cachet features a wind-swept mountain meadow in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Rock formations shaped by the elements for thousands of years provide a dramatic backdrop. Sloping hills lend to the setting as the grassy meadoow is crested by the regal purple blooms.

The stamp is tied to the envelope with an Alpine, Wyoming first day of issue bullseye postmart. Looking at this cover. one can almost feel the cooi mountain breeze as the delicate petals do a whimsical dance on their lonely  mountain stage. Now ready with a sunny exposue is the Purple Passion Pasqueflower. Collins #E6104.
