Pete Seeger

American Folk Singer

Cover Announcement

For this individually hand painted cachet, I wanted to keep the design simple and straight-forwad. In the center is Pete playing his banjo surrounded by images of some of his famous songs. To the lower right is Where Have All the Flowers Gone? To the lower left is This Land is My Land, and to the upper left is If I Had a Hammer.

Seeger was an activist in the Civil Rights Mlovement, and at upper right next to the stamp is an image of Martin Luther King, Jr. We Shall Overcome was the anthem of the movement.

Pete Seeger was very popular on national radio during the 1940s and 1950s. Now ready is one of America's greatest folk musicians. Collins #J6101 at $18.50.
