Winter Scenes

Fred's Anecdotal Note

Barred Owl

Dawn is still an hour away as a swift, dark shadow glides silently through the trees. A barred owl lands on its favorite white birch tree which is a daily ritual. A fulI winter moon casts a glowing light over the snowy landscape as the wide eyed owl begins its vigil for unsuspecting prey on the cold white blanket below. The woods mark the beginning boundary of the Pleasant Valley Farm, and when the rays of the sun announce daybreak, the barred owl will have ended its quest.
