Country Lane

Across the bridge and around the bend, a seldom used country lane winds through part of the farm's forest. A handsome bobcat has made the secluded woodland passage his domain and constantly patrols the territory. The strikingly marked cat recently picked up a familiar scent and is headed to the strearn-to stalk the young rabbit. By the time the bobcat reaches the covered bridge, his intended prey has hopped away to the security of its underground home The hunter retreats to its mountain den leaving only paw tracks in the pristine white snow.
