Arnold Palmer was bom on September 10, 1929. He became a professional golfer and is regarded as one of the greatest and most charismatic players in the sport's history. Starting in 1955, he won numerous events on both the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour of Champions. As one of golf's most popular stars, Palmer was known as '"The King," He was a trailblazer as the first sruperstar in the television age which began in the 1950's.

Amold won 62 PGA Tour titles from 1955 to 1973 . He dominated the sport for a six-year period between winning the Masters in 1958 and 1964. ln 1974, Palmer was one of the 13 original inductees into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

My individually hand painted cachet shows Palmer swinging a club on the course and also a close-up portrait of the legendary golfer during his golden era of the 1960's. Amold Palmer became so popular that he attracted large crowds that would follow him from hole to hole. They became known as "Arnie's Army."
