Cover Announcement 

This cover has a lot going for it. First, this is the cover that won first place in its Hand Painted category in this year's National Cachetmakers Contest conducted by the American First Day Cover Society. The results were annoonced in August. Second, this is the ONLY cachet variety I produce for this stamp, so only subscribers will have it in their collection. Third, it is a high-value stamp with a circular shape used for internatioral postage.

The individual hand painting of this cachet is superb. The petals sweep upward, and the different shades are coordinated to create a 3-D look. Also, the dark shades of green were chosen to amplify the bright colors of the blooms. As a subtle final touch, a large bud is located at top center getting ready to bring forth yet another spectacular flower. Chrysanthemum - O5901 at $16.50

This 2020 Collins took first place in the American First Day Cover Society National Cachetmakers contest in the single cover hand painted category. It was a "subscriber-only limited edition" Collins, so many of you will not have it in your collection. The round stamp features a chrysanthemum design and pays the international rate to several countries. My "entire" floral cachet features the same flower with blossoms and fully opened petals expanding for a colorful array of beauty. To the upper right, the round high-value stamp and the round first day of issue bullseye postmark provide the philatelic pedigree.
