Black-bellied Whistling Duck

The beautifirl black-bellied whistling duck is a mid-sized waterfowl with nice coloring. It has a pale greenish gray head and a long red bill. The body plumage is a rich chestnut brown while the belly and tail are black. In flight, large white patches are prominently visible on the tops of each wing. The favorite habitat is quiet freshwater ponds, lakes, or marshes. It is a nosy duck with a clear whisling WAA-CHOO call.
