Caffe Mocha
Cover Announcement
Indonesia is the fourth largest producer of coffee in the world. Ninety percent of the nation's crop is grown by small landholders on farms averaging one hectare. My individually hand painted cachet shows a family member-owner carefully selecting just the most perfect beans to harvest. She holds a collecting basket into which the chosen beans are carefullv placed.
Coffee cultivation began in the late 1600s in Indonesia during the Dutch Colonial period. Ever since, it has played a very important role in the economic growth of the country. Geographically, the area near the Equator is well suited for coffee plantations, and numerous interior mountainous regions create microclimates for individual glowers to produce fine coffee crops.
Today there are more than twenty varieties of coffee being grown commercialy in the country. Caffe Mocha, Collins #M6003, is now ready at $16.50.
