Cover Announcement

The fifth and final cover in this mini-set features a pair of striking towers overlooking Sandy Hook Bay in New Jersey. The Navesink Lighthouse designed by architect Joseph Lederle in 1860, has an octagonal tower on one end and a rectangular tower the other. These unique twin towers served as dual beacons at night, one with a flashing light and one with a fixed light. A two story residence for the lighthouse keeper was situated in the middle of two tower's. Navesink was the most powerful lighthouse in the United States. It was designated a National Histotric Landmark in 2006.

This individually hand painted cachet features a pair of Herring Gulls in the foreground. With several more flying near the castle-like lighthouse. The sky at dawn is awash in vibrant orange and pinks.

The Navesink Twin Lights is now-ready. Collins #V6002 - $16.50
