1990 MINNESOTA

Attractiveness is the "catch" word for this second MLFORD. The Minnesota Duck stamp is quite cute showing a Hooded Merganser sunning itserf on the back of a wooden decoy. The cachet waters capture superbly the reflections from an unseen sky -- note the subtle and beautiful coloring and the tone it sets. The final touch is the mirror image of the

Merganser.

The Flying V formation of "Gander's Nest" from Rochester was a must for this early MILFORD. Despite a slight mirroring effect on most of the cancels, this is a magnificent postmark.

Serial numbers used were 5031 to 5300 except 257, 265, 256, 267, 268, 269, and 270.

The flying-V postmark from Gander's Nest, Minnesota was a natural for this fantastic cover, and it is magnificent! The three stamps on the cachet accommodate this postmark beautifully and highlight the flight formation of the waterfowl.
