1990 IOWA

This MILFORD is the 45th and final one for 1990. The hand-painted cachet captures the style of the stamp with use of background pastels. Two pairs of mallards drop in for a landing on a placid golden lake which reflects the early dawn sky.

A very nice Day of Issue cancel which is larger than usual gives balance to the circular cachet border. Serial numbers used are 36771 to 37050 except 36850, 37013, 37041, 43, 45, 47, and 49.
