1993 OREGON

The hand-painted cachet builds upon the image of the new duck stamp. Note my treatment of the cattail reeds. The male mallard is alive with vivid colors--the familiar green head, the touch of blue in the wings, the russet chest feathers, and the realistic bill and webbed feet. This has become a personal favorite of the 1993 MILFORDS.

A fine Oregon City postmark ties the wildflower and duck stamps to the cover. Note that the duck stamp commemorates the Centennial of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission. Serial numbers used were 13831 to 14030.
