This is the very first Collins First Day Cover with all four different quilt stamps, and it is not seen on the open market very often. It is a superb "lead-off' cover for any Collins collection and will always be in demand by Collins collectors, first-cachet collectors, and investor collectors. A plate number pair of stamps has the official West Virginia cancel, and the opposite pair has a New York City (where the quilt model for stamps was located) unofficial first day postmark. The hand painted cachet is rich and vibrant! A tremendous cover to own.
