Tundra Swans


Cover Announcement 


As the name indicates, the Tundra Swan breeds in the trundra of the Arctic and subartictic. They inhabit ponds, lakes and rivers throughout this vast territory. They are migratory birds and their winter habitats are grasslands and marshlands often near the coast. They do visit agricultural fields after hervast to feed on surplus and discarded grains. While migrating, Tundra Swans will stop at mountain lakes to rest and fly as high as five miles in V formations. These Swans are beautiful waterfowl.
