Lot 7 A202 — Endangered Flora — (Quadruple First Day Cancels) — 6/7/79

This a very special cover I did on day of issue. After flying to Milwaukee, the previous evening, I was ready for a very busy day. I was at the Milwaukee Post Office when it opened. The Endangered Flora stamp was affixed to the upper right corner and got the first day of issue bullseye cancel. Then a helper and I took off for three other target post offices that represented the three things necessary for growth: water, soil, and sun. Waterloo was obtained at lower right and Black Earth to upper right of the cachet. Finally, Sun Prairie is at lower right of the cachet. I got to and obtained all of the goals! Important:

Due to the time pressures, the quality of the cancels is not as good as I would have liked, but all testify that this cover physically was at each post office with me and received the day of issue cancel. This is the first time this cover has appeared in one of my mail sales. Scarce cancel variety.
