This stamp was issued on a Sunday, but Lady Luck was smiling on me. After getting the Princeton, New Jersey first day postmark, it was off to a U.S. postal station at a stamp show in White Plains, New York, where I got a fantastic Einstein pictorial first day cancel. It features a large portrait of the famous scientist and importantly ties both stamps to the cover. Gorgeous. My hand painted cachet is also a portrait of Albert. A very early Collins created less than one year after my first cachet.
