Recently I offered the "blue stamp" Collins cover for this two-stamp set. If you missed ordering it and would like it in your collection, be advised that only a small number remain in stock. They wiil be gone soon. That cachet depicts a Curtiss "Jenny" bi-plane in flight. Ordering information for the "blue" is below. Six of these reliable planes flown by Army pilots comprised the entire U.S. airmail fleet.

This offering is for the companion stamp which is red in color. It is tied to the envelope with a bullseye first day of issue postmark from Coliege Park, Maryland. The individually-hand painted cachet shows a durable Jenny in front of a hanger. A mechanic completes a pre-flight check, and soon it will take off on its mail route and fly into history.
