CAROUSEL

This FDC was a real challenge in regard to the design lay-out -- how to fit the four stamps and an operating carousel on the face of the cover. I think I succeeded and the result is a really bright and colorful addition to your collection.

I decided to feature on my carousel the animals that are shown on the stamps -- deer, goat, camel, and the endearing merrygo-round horse. Riders are mounted on the animals as they obviously enjoy their circular ride to the accompaniment of vibrant and loud music. As you can imagine, this cachet subject allowed me to "go wild" with vivid, strong colors and the result is an eye-catching FDC that captures the whimsical fantasy of perennial youth. The four colorful stamps are canceled at First Day City Sandusky, Ohio.
