This issue with the Lesser Scaup Federal Duck stamps and several animal varieties, has become one of the most sought-after of my first day covers. The lot is intriguing and, if you are missing this variety, now is one of the few opportunities you will ever have to acquire it. The bottom line is that only 75 exist with the Chipmunk cachet (C1602e). If you are a duck cover enthusiast or if you like to seek out the more scarce Collins covers, this one is for you.

This Federal Duck stamp cover has been very sought-after from the day I offered them to the present, and the individual varieties are almost impossible to obtain on the open market. This offering is for the Lesser Scaup Duck Stamp cover with the Chipmunk variety. The cover has a vignette of a chipmunk as well as a chipmunk stamp, differentiating it from the other varieties.

The large cancel of two ducks swimming and canceled at Duck Stamp Station is a beauty! If you don't already have this variety, you may wish to look at the color sheet closely.
