The hand painted cachet shows an early American classroom with students and teacher. The magenta unofficial cancel is Princeton, New Jersey, home of the famous Ivy League university. The cover also has a "First Day of Issue" hand cancel on a single which was obtained at the official city of Franklin, Massachusetts. The bright colors of the stamps and watercolors make this a visual standout. This is the first time this cover has been in one of my mail sales and it is a great opportunity to own an early Collins.
