Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel Gone with the Wind is an epic tale of romance set in the American South. It tells the story of the strong-willed Scarlett O'Hara during the Civil War. In 1939 the movie version was released starring Vivien Leigh as Scarlett and Clark Gable as Rhett Butler. The film was extremely popular, and it won ten Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actress, and Best Director. My individually hand painted cachet shows Gable and Leigh in a scene from the movie with the plantation house in the

background. The red heart on the new stamp is a perfect fit for the name "Scarlett." This cover now becomes part of my series depicting romantic couples - real people, literary characters, or entertainment couples.
