My individually hapd painted cachets for this cover depict three adorable rabbits huddled around a miniature kumquat tree. It really turned out terrific and could easily be judged the best produced by any cachetmaker for this issue. The new stamp features a pair of orange kumquats, and they are nicely framed by a background of jade green. A tiny stylized rabbit shown in gold is located in the upper left corner of the stamp. It's very attractive but personally I would have preferred that the Postal Service kept more to the rabbit theme. It worked out great, however, because my three rabbits become the main focus, and the kumquat aspect in the stamp and my miniature tree actually make this a colorful, dynamic, and eye-catching First Day Cover.
