The Golden Eagle
For this set of five magnificent birds of prey, I decided to use the envelopes in vertical format. Over the years, I have only used this technique sparingly — most notably for lighthouses. But for these awesome raptors, it was the perfect choice to best capture their powerful images. Poses will include perching, soaring, gliding, and diving. The detailed artwork will provide the highest degree of realism, and the individual hand painting will give each bird a remarkably natural look. This is wildlife cachet art at its finest.
The golden eagle is dark brown with golden plumage on it neck and head. They use their speed and agility, combined with very powerful talons to snatch up small animal prey. Their territory is about 60 square miles, and a pair will stay together from several years to life. Huge nests are built in high places, and young eaglets typically number from one to four per nesting pair.
My individually hand painted cachet, done in a truly dynamic vertical format, is now ready. Golden Eagle — Collins #B5003 at $14.50.
