Muscle Cars

1970 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda

The Barracuda is a two-door car that was manufactured by the Plymouth Division of Chrysler Motors from 1964 to 1974. The redesign for the 1970 'Cuda deleted the original fastback design and offered it as both a coupe and a convertible. Part of the reason for the design change was to shake the stigma associated with "economy cars."

These high-performance cars were marketed a' s 'Cuda, and with a larger engine bay than the previous models, Chrysler was able to release the 426 cubic-filch Hemi engine for the regular retail market. This 425 horsepower machine was a powerful automobile, and it was offered in bold color choices that included lemon twist, Vitamin C, and lime light, which is the eye-catching color I chose for my hand painted cachet.

Fewer than 700 of these Hemi 'Cudas were produced, and it's now a very collectible car. The 1970 Plymouth Barracuda is now ready for Collins collectors. Collins #T5104 at $14.00.
