When this stamp was issued, it was an exciting event. Not only the incredible event itself of the 500th Anniversary of discovery but of the many splendid potential cachet subjects. The five I chose were Ponce de Leon, Historic Key West, Kennedy Space Center, Magic Kingdom of Disney, and Seminole Chief Osceola for the block of four. That left my limited-edition subscriber only cover for which I chose my sixth topic — the Wildlife of the Everglades. The composition turned out to be wonderful as I chose the Florida panther (subspecies of the cougar), black bear, green heron, and chameleon. A single has the St. Augustine first day of issue bullseye postmark. It's the first time this wildlife cachet has appeared in one of my mail sales. A great opportunity!
