A cachet design that builds on the stamp image gives this MILFORD a bold appearance. Fine details such as the moss on the pilings at the waterline, the redhead's eye, and the reflections in the water bring a sense of realism to this FDC.

The three stamps are tied to the cover with a Greenwood Lake postmark. This nine mile long body of water sees much waterfowl activity. The number produced was 349.
