1991 ARIZONA

This is an interesting MILFORD. The colors of the Duck stamp and State FLag stamp are very vivid in the southwest tradition. The hand-painted cachet depicts the Havasu Canyon. About 475 Havasupai Indians live there currently and the name translates to "people of the blue-green water". The waterfalls and terraced pools along Havasu Creek add to the beauty of their canyon home.

Serial numbers used were between 1591 and 3030 with a net number of 360 being produced. The pictorial cancel shows the mythical Phoenix bird.
