Bold blues in both the stamp and hand-painted cachet provide a nice background for the distinctive pintail. The stamps are canceled at Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Keeping with this Indian theme, a brave trots his pony in the distance as the duck seeks refuge behind the branches of a downed tree. For this issue, 309 MILFORDS were produced.
