Alaska 1991

Snow Geese by Ronald Louque

Fred's Anecdotal Note

1991 AIASKA

A snow goose sips water from a creek that has thus far escaped the impending frozen surface. The tops of summer grasses, now dead, can be seen protruding from the snow along the bank. In the distance, a native mushes his dog team to a traditional igloo. This ingenious shelter has now disappeared from America's last frontier. I was particularly pleased with the color I chose for the water. To me it conveys one thing. . . . .C-O-L-D.

The final net number produced for the 1991 Alaska

was 310.
