Collins Cover Announcement

NEW HAMPSHIRE STATEHOOD

A rainbow trout leaps out of the cascading water of a rushing New England stream. The cog railroad takes visitors to the summit of Mount Washington -- the engine actually pushing the passenger cars. Sugar maples povide their bounty of sap that will be transformed into delicious syrup annointing pancakes and French toast. A bull moose, a brilliant autumn leaf, and a delicate pink trillium are emblematic of the many splendors found in New Hampshire. Finally, across the center of the hand-painted cachet, a recreational skier flashes down a snowy slope. The border and "Bicentennial Statehood" letters are painted in antler brown which contrasts with the bright colors of the stamps and cachet subjects.

As with the other covers of the set, a single of the stamp has the official cancel (in this instance Concord, New Hampshire) and the B. Free Franklin Colonial cancel from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A very nice addition to others in the set. Item #D1401 - $7.75
